Your Privacy is Our Priority

Your privacy is important to us. At Elloqor we are committed to respect your right to privacy, and keep your information and affairs in strictest confidence. Our privacy practices are a cornerstone of our business.

Protecting your privacy means:
  1. We keep your information in strict confidence
  2. Your information is not sold
  3. You have control over how we obtain, use, and give out information about you
  4. You have access to the information we have about you
  5. Please review the information below to understand how our policies and procedures allow you to have control over the use of your information.
Identifying Purpose of Collection
When you register as a member you will be required to provide certain personal information to complete your registration. This may include name, address, telephone number, emergency contacts, and sensitive medical information necessary for us to provide the services for which you have registered.

Consent
We ask for your consent before sharing information with other people – for example sending your profile to a medical facility or hospital to expedite your diagnosis. This consent has been obtained via your terms of service agreement you confirm prior to becoming a Member.

Your information is destroyed when it is no longer needed
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the services you're using and for a reasonable time thereafter, or to meet any legal requirements. We have retention standards which meet these requirements. We destroy your information when it is no longer needed, or we remove your name from the information.

Elloqor will not use or disclose your personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected without your prior explicit consent or as required by law. Your personal information will only be shared with Emergency Service personnel, individuals designated in your member profile or individuals designated by the school administration (if you are registered for the Medaware™ for Schools program) if and when you identify to us that you are in need of emergency medical assistance.

You can see and verify the accuracy of your information
You can check your information to verify, update and correct it, and to have any obsolete information removed. We may ask you to put your request in writing.

There's no charge to verify or correct your profile information unless you use the Elloqor Customer Care Centre to update your records. Due to our strict privacy policy, we complete this service on your behalf and courier the information to you for complete verification. In this case there is an additional service charge. We will let you know about the additional service charge before proceeding to make the requested changes.

Safeguards
Personal information is encrypted as it travels over the Internet. Depending on your web browser you may see a secure webpage indicator, for example a closed lock in the lower right hand corner of the Internet Explorer browser.

When you contact our Customer Care Centre, the only information we would ever ask for before assisting you is:

Your name, address and mobile telephone number

We need this information to:
  • Establish your identification
  • Protect you and us from error and fraud
  • Provide ongoing service
  • Comply with legal requirements
Our way of verifying your identity is to setup a security question with you the first time you Register as a Member.

We respond to your request promptly
We'll deal quickly with your request to see your information, and always respond to you within 30 days. If we need to extend the time, or we have to refuse your request, we'll tell you why, subject to any legal restrictions, and we'll notify you of the new deadline, the reasons for the extension, and your rights under applicable legislation respecting the extension.

We monitor our compliance with the Elloqor Privacy policies
We have procedures in place to assist our employees in the practice of the Elloqor Privacy policies. We monitor the practice of these policies on a regular basis, and report our findings to a committee of the Board of Directors of Elloqor Solutions Inc. as necessary.

We are committed to upholding the Elloqor Privacy policies
If you have any questions or complaints about our privacy policies, or about how we are living up to them, let us know right away.

Resolving your concern is important to us
Elloqor is committed to treating you with the greatest respect and consideration, and providing the highest level of service. Even so, from time to time something may go wrong. There may be a misunderstanding, or you may feel you have been dealt with unjustly. Whatever the circumstance, resolving the problem is our primary concern.

How to resolve concerns and complaints at Elloqor
We expect every Elloqor employee who receives a customer complaint to take ownership, and ensure that the complaint is resolved in a timely manner. If you have a complaint or concern, we encourage you to follow the complaints procedures outlined below.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
This policy takes effect August 12, 2006. Elloqor reserves the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
